Mo Ching Ying Lai is an architect trained in Taiwan and the United States. She holds a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in Los Angeles and has practiced internationally with renowned firms including SOM in New York and UNStudio in Amsterdam. Her experience spans a wide range of typologies and scales, from master planning and architecture to interior design, guiding complex projects from concept through realization.
At Snøhetta, she has led major international projects and competitions, including the KaDeWe department store and Donaumarina Tower in Vienna.
She currently leads Southbank Bratislava, an ongoing 200,000 m² mixed-use urban development for Penta Real Estate. The project brings together urban design and architecture at a significant scale, contributing to the cultural and urban transformation of Bratislava through a socially and environmentally sustainable approach.
