Diana Silvestru

Diana Silvestru completed her studies at the University in Cluj-Napoca and a Master’s degree in Sociology at the University of Vienna. Following research and project management roles at the Sigmund Freud Private University Vienna, the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and the Institute for the Sociology of Law and Criminology, she worked as Researcher and Project Manager at the Agency for European Integration and Economic Development (AEI), where she coordinated and contributed to several EU-funded research projects in the fields of digitalisation, security and food supply resilience. From 2023 to 2025, she served as Senior Researcher at Tech Meets Legal GmbH, focusing on the societal, ethical and legal implications of emerging technologies and artificial intelligence in Austrian and European R&D projects.

Since August 2025, she has been part of UIV Urban Innovation Vienna as a Senior Researcher, contributing to national and international research projects and coordinating scientific activities within the ADUCAT project. Her work focuses on stakeholder participation, technology assessment and the societal dimensions of innovation and digital transformation.
